Anyway. This week.

His Excellency Mr Roberto Kobeh Gonzalez, President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) managed to take time off his busy schedule to meet us aviators-in-training at TP last Wednesday!

It was cool and all, being a guest for that session, seeing the man himself up close. But I didn’t even get to meet him so all that’s like, whatever. However, BECAUSE he was there, many others in the aviation industry were too. And that’s what made the day cool.

I was shy at first, but then Sharifah dragged me along to talk to this guy- an aerospace engineer. Boring much! So when Mr President’s arrival and speech interrupted our conversation, we slipped away shortly after.

I got over the shy thing. I figured, oh what the heck- there’s no way I can make a fool of myself THAT badly, so might as well talk to everyone, since they’re all here anyway. So I talked to an SIA pilot, a Tiger Airways pilot, the STATA vice-president, and an RSAF guy, with the help and support of Farid, Cat, Sharifah and Syed (:

Liyana eats good tea, then Liyana goes home happy.
She’s even more determined to be a pilot now.


Anyway. Yesterday.

Well, the first time we planned something expecting it to be just the two of us instead of asking everyone along and getting disappointed by the turn up rate again anyway. Heh.

Took a direct bus from TP to Plaza Singapura, had lunch at BK, then headed to Marina Square to watch UP with Chris (after 2 failed attempts to watch it at Cathay and Plaza Sing’s GV).

Good movie. Good talk.
